Theatre in the Mill turns 50: What’s Your Story?

__________________

Theatre in the Mill (TiM) is 50 this year! For five decades this small arts venue, based on the campus of Bradford University, has been instrumental in presenting and developing creative talent of all kinds. It is one of Bradford’s oldest cultural institutions and the time has come to tell its story.

To mark the 50th birthday, 509 Arts is exploring the impact that TiM has had on the many people and companies that have passed through its doors – staff, students, performers, companies, audiences and theatre makers of all kinds.

Do you have memories of Theatre in the Mill you would like to share?

They may be personal experiences, sudden moments of inspiration, or epic creative journeys. We want to hear about the shows you saw, conversations you had, people you met, and the events you got involved in.

The life changing stuff and the every day-but-important stuff. The story is yours to tell…

How to get involved!

To give you the space to tell us what role TiM played in your life, we’ve designed an online survey.
You can say what you want in the way that you want to. Think of it as a creative exercise rather than boring data collection.

We are also conducting a small number of live interviews and may follow up on your feedback. As this is a pilot project, we are unfortunately unable to interview everyone at this stage, but we would be happy to keep you informed of future developments.

Share your stories here!

This project is in collaboration with Theatre in the Mill and the University of Bradford.
